The NVM IP Core designed by IP-Maker is a powerful data transfer manager to be integrated in the PCIe SSD controller, between the communication interface and the NandFlash Controller, therefore off-loading the host CPU. It is fully NVM Express 1.2.1 compliant. IP-Maker is a contributor of the NVM Express specification.

IP-Maker UNFC (Universal NAND Flash Controller) IP core has been designed specifically to enable commodity Flash memory to be safely used in enterprise storage applications requiring high reliability and large interconnect bandwidth. Using pre-validated UNFC IP, allows to greatly reduce Time-To-Market for storage OEM who wants to benefit from higher IOPS, carefully designed to benefit from lower cost SLC & MLC & TLC NandFlash memory.

IP-Maker provides BCH encoder/decoder. BCH ECC are commonly integrated in  MLC/TLC -based systems that require a high capacity and a lower cost.

The IPM Host NVMe is the hardware version of the NVMe software driver used on the host side in storage application. It fully manages the NVMe protocol, it can used with any NVMe SSD, and it works without any CPU, and provides a sub microsecond latency.
